About the Book

The Reluctant Judge is simple explanation of the Book of Revelation. It will show you the organization of The Revelation of Jesus so you will be able to read the book as it was given to the Apostle John.

After you read The Reluctant Judge you will see that this final book of the New Testament is full of God’s grace and will show His intense desire to save every soul. You will see that the Book of Revelation is not really a scary book, as some think, but is a revelation of God’s faithfulness to mankind. The Revelation of Jesus is a book about victory for the believer and God’s faithfulness to mankind. In fact, you will see that God does to extreme lengths to save mankind from the judgment.

People tell me that they don’t read the Book of Revelation because they cannot understand the symbolism. That symbolism will be explained in The Reluctant Judge and show that every symbol in the Revelation is also used somewhere else in the Bible.

The main reason to read The Reluctant Judge is because; you need to know what God has said to you, and to the rest of the world in His Revelation.

I believe that the Lord’s Revelation will be one of your favorite books of the Bible after you have read The Reluctant Judge.

About the Author

I was born and raised in Ellsinore, Missouri, a very small town in the heart of the Ozarks. I was blessed with parents who loved the Lord and lived an exemplary Christian life every day. My father was a Bible scholar and devoted much of his life to making in-depth studies of God’s word. My Mother was the most loving and caring Christian woman that I have ever known. After I gave my life to Christ in February of 1972, my desire was to follow the example that my parents had given me and make my life honor my Lord.

I served my country in the United States Marine Corps from 1959 to 1979 and served three tours of duty in the South Pacific during the Vietnam War. One of my last duties in the Marine Corps was as a Drill Instructor at Parris Island Marine Corps Recruit Depot. It was in 1975, while stationed at Parris Island MCRD, that the Lord called me into the ordained ministry and in 1978 He opened the door for me to enter that ministry through the United Methodist Church.

As I began my studies through the United Methodist system of ordination, I became very interested in the Book of Revelation. I asked one of my professors at the school I was attending why we had never studied the Book of Revelation? His answer was, "We do not teach this book of the Bible because it is impossible to understand." I was certain then, and still am, that God did not give His revelation to mankind for it to be ignored by His Church. That day I committed myself to the idea of presenting a simple explanation of the Book of Revelation to the Christian people of the world in a form that any literate person could understand.

I began work on The Reluctant Judge in 1984 by reading every commentary on the Book of Revelation that I could find. I studied all of the prominent theories on the book and compared them to everything in the Old and New Testaments related to the end of time events. I continued my studies and research until sometime in 1998 when I began to organize my findings into book form.

In November of 1997, Pastor Charles Bowman and I went to the revival at the Brownsville Assembly of God church in Pensacola, Florida. While we were there God showed both of us that He was going to send a powerful revival to Hardeeville, South Carolina. After we returned from Pensacola, I continued my ministry in the United Methodist Church until 1998 when the revival that God had spoken to Pastor Bowman and I about began to take place. I resigned my ordination in the United Methodist Church so that I could devote my full time to the revival. Since May of 1998, I have been the Associate Pastor of Abundant Life Tabernacle Assembly of God Church in Hardeeville, South Carolina.

We have enjoyed that God-sent revival now for 42 months and during that time nearly 100,000 people have attended revival in our school’s gymnasium, and God has dramatically changed thousands of lives. The revival continues and we are seeing the stage being set for the events of the Book of Revelation that you will read about in The Reluctant Judge.
