About the Book
Jesus returns to visit his church, but his chosen followers are skeptical and keep asking all the wrong questions. For this Jesus looks Jewish, laughs and jokes, loves ice cream, and refuses to discuss theology. Worse yet, he won’t exclude anyone from his fellowship, and shocks the nation by his appearance on a sleazy talk show. Is this really Jesus? Or a talented con artist? Or worse? How will they ever decide? Take him to a psychiatrist? Consult the bishop? The book is a lighthearted romp through the human personality, the charm, the love, and...yes...the wit and humor of Jesus. Jay will be entertaining, but the book has a deeper purpose. It is also a portrait of ourselves...the followers...trying to grasp this remarkable personality. For in this book he is no longer safely imprisoned in church doctrines, but is sitting among us, wearing a suit and eating ice cream. Some may be offended and some may be appalled, but those who love Jesus with a teachable heart will find this little book an uplifting spiritual fantasy.
