AN OPEN LETTER TO ALL WOMEN

I’m looking for a lady who wants to be loved
And yearns to be romanced.
I’m dreaming of a lady who loves to give hugs
And melts in love’s slow dance.

I’m hoping for a lady with high self-esteem
And a soul that shines true.
I’m waiting on a lady to be this knight’s queen
And this poet’s great muse.

I’m seeking out a lady with inner substance
And natural soft grace.
I’m counting on a lady who likes compliments
And possesses good taste.

I’m wanting from a lady, her sensitive heart
And her mind’s perspective.
I’m searching for a lady who’s moved by the arts
And whose faith in God lives.

I’m needing through a lady, her feminine ways
To beautify my world.
I’m wishing for a lady who still likes to play
With the zeal of a girl.

I’m pleading to a lady who shows compassion
And who has a strong will.
I’m asking of a lady to be my best friend
And share with me life’s thrills.

I’m starving for a lady who enjoys laughter
And deep conversations.
I’m praying for a lady to stay hereafter
In my home without end.

Please forgive me that I fail to
Recognize you.

But then you died,
My world shattered,
Taken from me too soon, I cry
"You’re all that matters."

I’m lonely again.

And when I lost
My will to live,
Heaven parted and as I crossed,
You stood there, pensive.
Waiting my love,

With open arms for
My spirit, once more.
