Preface
The purpose of this book is to give a better understanding to the Body of Christ of the meaning of Paul’s revelation of who Christians are in Christ. One of the first revelations that the Holy Spirit showed this writer was in Romans 8:1, which says, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus." Through this verse and others it was revealed that sins were forgiven, past, present and future. With the Scripture in First John 1: 9, a Christian can and should confess his sins and apply the blood of Jesus Christ, his Savior, to continually be cleansed. This is important because when Satan comes to accuse the believer, he has no ground on which to stand. He cannot establish a stronghold.
The reality of oneness in Him developed over a long period of time. The fact that Christ’s death, burial and resurrection is also the believer’s was an astounding revelation. At first I could not comprehend what Paul was saying in his Epistles, but I cried out to the Lord to help me. He was faithful to open my understanding to the meaning, for which I am very grateful. The Epistles came alive, as He showed me who I am in Christ.
The Holy Spirit directed and guided the writing of this book, to enable the Body of Christ to know that we are identified with Christ’s Person, Purpose and Power. Each believer has received a high calling from God, the Father, to represent Him on the earth, to follow in the steps of His Son and to go forth in the power of the Holy Spirit to accomplish the mission and commission given to the Church.
My prayer to the reader is one which Paul gave to us:
"That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, which He worked in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all." Amen.

About the Book
We, as Christians, need a revelation of who we are "in Christ," in order to grow spiritually in grace and truth. As we enter into the kingdom of God, we must become transformed by the renewing of our minds, that we may know and do the will of God. Christians should seek to answer three questions. Who am I? Why am I here? Where am I going? When we become born again, our life is hidden with God "in Christ." The next step is to be filled with God's Holy Spirit. He will enable us to receive power of authority to live a dedicated, consecrated, sanctified, and overcoming life. Many people today are Christians in name only. They know about Jesus Christ and what He did, but do not have a personal relationship with God. Paradise was lost, when Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden. Sin separates us from God, but God is loving. He provided a way for man to be redeemed. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) Christ's death, burial, and resurrection made a way for man to be reconciled with God. Now man can come to God, ask for forgiveness and accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me." (John 14:6) The Holy Spirit unites with our spirit giving us the ability to live the Christ life. As Comforter and Teacher, He helps us learn who we are "in Christ," revealing the rights and privileges we have in Him, that we may become conformed into the image of Christ. The Holy Spirit leads and guides us into God's purpose and plan for our lives. Complete in Him will show Christians, who they are "in Christ," and how to become strong, successful, and victorious in their everyday life and walk with Him.
About the Author
Mae Jean Sheerin graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1984, where she trained to be a teacher. The next year she enrolled in a correspondence course at the Institute of Children’s Literature in Redding Ridge, Connecticut, under author and founder, Alvin Tresselt. Her great interest in studying the Bible began in 1974, when she received the Baptism of God’s Holy Spirit. Many hours of study was spent in the Epistles of the Apostle Paul, where she began to receive the revelation of what a believer in Christ could know and walk out in daily life. It is important to know who we are in Christ, what belongs to us and what we have in Him, as well as, the person of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Paul stated in 2 Timothy 1:12, "for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day." The foundation of our faith must be Christ Himself. The purpose and inspiration for writing this work was based on "Colossians," the second chapter. "As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him: Rooted and built up in Him, and established in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving . . . For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power:" (Colossians 2:6-7, 9-10) Complete in Him was written to the whole Body of Christ at the instruction and guidance of the Lord Jesus, to help Christians learn who they are in Christ, the rights and privileges they have and how to live a life of victory everyday in Him.
