Satan Goes To Church
It comes as a shock to some people to discover that Satan goes to church. Through his demonic forces he is actually running some churches. Our Lord cast out demons in the synagogue. Paul wrote to believers to warn them about Satan and his devices. Since nobody outside the local church can really hinder the ministry of the Church, Satan wants to get on the inside as he did with Ananias and Sapphira (Acts 5).
Where are you likely to find Satan at work in the church? Let's begin in the pulpit. We have already discovered that Satan has "his servants", who disguise themselves as servants of righteousness (2 Corinthians 11:15). Simply because a preacher is a professed Christian, a moral man and a graduate of a seminary does not mean he is truly saved and a servant of Jesus Christ. There are false brethren (2 Corinthians 11:26) as well as false apostles (2 Corinthians 11:13).
The parable of the tares teaches that Satan has "children" and he sows them wherever God sows true believers. What happens when children of the devil become officers in the church? Is it any wonder that churches depart from the faith and start to believe "doctrines" of demons (1 Timothy 4.1). Satan can be present in the worship. Worship is the most important ministry of the church. Everything the local church does should flow out of worship. Yet in many local churches the congregation is not taught the meaning and importance of worship. On Sunday mornings and evenings every church has a "liturgy", a form of worship, an order of service - either a good liturgy or a bad one. 2 Corinthians 6:14, 7:l emphasizes the incompatibility of Christ and Satan. "For what partnership has righteousness and lawlessness or what fellowship has light with darkness? What has a believer in common with an unbeliever? Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God and God said, "I will dwell in them and walk among them, I will be their God and they shall be my people." "Therefore come out from their midst, and be separate," says the Lord. "Do not touch what is unclean and I will welcome you. I will be a father to you, you shall be sons and daughters to me," says the Lord almighty. "Therefore, having these promises, beloved let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."

About the Book
Wake Up, Christians
Written by the inspiration, respect and love of God. The idea for this writing came one day as five missionaries were in route to the hospital in their visitation ministry to the sick. To read the Bible and to minister in the laying on of hands with prayer for healing through the Holy Spirit of God.
As they went, they began to discuss various topics of interest, including the following:
- Satan goes to church
- In bondage to nervousness - soul problems
- Curses put on people
- Angels of God and Satan's angels
This inspired one of the missionary ladies to write the book - and thus the pages began to take form.
We build our worship on the truth revealed in the Word of GOD. Christian worship must be tied to the Word and Spirit of God. The Word of God is the anchor; the Holy Spirit is the guide.
The purpose of this book is to awaken Christians and tell sinners about the devil's wishes to enslave men through his power. There are three sources of power common to human understanding.
a. Divine power that comes through the Holy Spirit.
b. Satanic power which comes from the Devil.
c. Human power or manpower which can be directed by heavenly or demonic powers.
After reading this book you should have a better understanding about GOD'S power and plan to save our souls and the devil's plan to destroy our souls.
God is love and peace.
The devil is torment and hell.
About the Author
I dedicate this book to the memory of my mother evangelist missionary Marion Joyce Sanders, a great pioneer among missionaries. She was born on April 29, 1931- November 21, 1992 she was active on the missionary boards and served in the outreach ministry, visiting the sick and praying for those in need. She also wrote a book, called Wake-Up Christians which was first printed in 1989 but was never copy written until now.
