Preface
The purpose of this book is to raise the awareness level of the unbelievers in Jesus Christ, and to strengthen the believers of the gospel of Jesus Christ in having faith in God. Most believers have a firm stand in Christ, but whenever they are faced with tragedies, situations or circumstances beyond their control, they immediately enter into a state of panic and not remembering the power within the God we serve. Most of us, whenever God allows us to enter into the fiery furnace, the whale’s belly, the Lion’s den, or he leads us through the valley of the shadow of death, we become discouraged and will even walk away from our calling. Some unbelievers rely solely upon their own strength, wisdom, intellect, feelings, academic skills, and people to help them in difficult times.
The Bible teaches us to walk by faith and not by sight. It is the responsibility of the believers to have that confidence to trust in God in the middle of their crises, with the assurance knowing that he is faithful and he is able to see them through their problems. This book will help you to understand the different approaches to faith and how to apply faith to your every day walk with Christ, because God commands that the just shall live by faith. We will also go into full detail and explanation about the principles and aspects of faith that God wants us to have in him.
This book will help enlighten your knowledge and open your understanding in deeper depth about faith whenever you find your self in a position where you must apply faith. In order to stand or be steadfast in a mid-night crisis or in the midst of devastation, you will need to exercise the now faith that can work to repair shattered lives. You will see how faith in action will cause you to believe in hope when it appears to be no hope. You will learn how God gave every man he created the measure of faith. You will understand how God’s salvation faith works. You will see how the natural man operates with the natural faith. We will look closer at special faith and how God gives it whenever he sees the need to. You will be blessed to see how people in great need of deliverance apply the In Spite of Faith. Your prayer life will be enriched when we talk about praying with faith. You will also find out that you don’t have to be depressed and saddened when all you have to do is believe. You will also see what the flip side of faith produce; doubt, which is sin. Also it will be more clearer to you that your faith is tried on a daily basis and that’s why you suffer some of the things you suffer. After you have finished reading this book, you will see how determined you will be and nothing will stop you from believing God’s promises. You will then be able to stand against all wiles of the devil, hold up the shield of faith and quench all the fiery darts that the devil throws at you.

About the Author
Mr. Roy Ricky Payne has been involved in outreach ministry in the Washington, D.C. metro area since 1996. The Lord has been leading him to preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus in the Hospitals, Homeless Shelters, Jails, and Prisons. Through this ministry, Mr. Payne was inspired to write this book after hearing the concerns and doubts of those suffering from anxiety related to their future expectations. In addition, his own personal testimony has inspired him to write this book after seeing how God turned his situations around. Mr. Payne has three children and resides in Hyattsville, Maryland. In May of 2008, he earned his Master of Business Administration Degree from Columbia Union College. Curently, Mr. Payne is attending Capital Bible Seminary in Lanham, Maryland where he is pursuing a Master Degree in Divinity. Finally, he is a dedicated member of Mystery Church of God where Bishop Donald Robb is the Pastor.
