Raging
As the light fades,
The sky growing dark,
You can envision the sparks,
Risen from a fire,
Raging way too hot,
As the nights coolness,
Brushes across your skin,
Coming from somewhere,
From a gentle night wind,
Listen intently for the sounds,
Drifting from somewhere,
Upon the night winds,
Seen in the distance,
The slow rise of the moon,
As it fills the horizons,
Then rises into the heavens,
Way to soon,
Casting upon the land, the gold of its glow,
Creating shadows, where once nothing showed,
Standing beside the fire,
As its arms reach into the heavens,
From earth,
I feel the coolness from,
The night winds gently,
Caressing against my skin,
Gaseing out upon life,
Realizing its beginning,
Its end.
Risen
The moon has slowly risen,
From the depths of its pearl,
As the sea rises up,
As if lost in a different world,
The cast of its glow,
Spreading across the waters just so,
As it cast it’s shadow,
Across the swelling old sea,
Rightly so,
The moon slowly risen,
From out of its depths,
As if it rises into the heavens,
To its very own nest,
It blocks out the sky,
In just a moment it seems,
As it rises up from, its once be it lair,
It rises into the heavens,
To be seen miles from anywhere,
The moon has slowly risen,
Into the very heavens this night,
From out of the sea it Shedds down upon us,
It’s golden light,
Enhancing its beauty,
As it rises against its blackness,
Of the heavens this night,
Just adding one more thing,
To natures creation,
For our own delight.

Images
Images is Mr. Newman’s personal concept and design and is intended to be different and unique. Sometimes a single piece took a week or longer to write. Mr. Newman has also set fourteen of the poems to music, which will be available on CD or tape.
About the Author
Hi. My name is Frederick J. Newman. Everyone just calls me "Fred" (nickname "Fearless"). I am single, 43 years of age, and I work for a pager company. I am a member of the International Society of Poets. I am white, weigh 170 pounds, 5’7" tall, have brown curly hair, and brown eyes. I love to dance and love all kinds of music. My favorite fun things to do are water slides, car racing, fishing, camping, eating seafood, barbecues, boating and computing. I like people and will often write about the people I meet and the different aspects of our lives. I am currently working on writing short stories.
