About the Book
The thermometer is on a steady rise, the heat index is off the chart. The Polar Caps are melting, yet offering no cooling effects. Whales are washing up on the beaches of California, Coral Reefs are dying, increasing the population of extinct species. Severe weather fronts from raging floods to relentless draughts are increasing death tolls of people, animals, and vegetation. Potentially fatal diseases are being contracted from previously benign food sources. Yet there is little action being taken to do anything but learn how to endure these unbearable conditions. Is this just a part of the inevitable cycle of life? Or is this part of an intricately spun plot in the search for world domination by a vilely corrupt force lurking in the shadows? The answers to these questions will soon be uncovered by a naive 15 year old girl named Jessica during her innocent search for excitement in her otherwise uneventful life. D.L.O.: Domestic Life Organization is sure to be one of the most impressively entertaining books you ll read this year. Centered around Jessica Andrews, a fifteen-year-old girl with a vivid imagination and an incredible sense for getting into trouble. Her only escape from her methodical, uneventful life in the small town of Stevensburg, is her amazing ability to concoct tales of mystery, intrigue, and conspiracy. When Jessica s fantasy world will no longer sustain her need for excitement, she plans a trip inside the forbidden manufacturing plant of Stevensburg. Her excitement is soon replaced by fear and anxiety as she begins to unravel the tightly spun web of deception that encompasses her town. The deeper she digs only leads to more questions that seem to have fewer answers. Who can Jessica turn to for answers to questions that she s not even sure how to ask? Will Jessica ever find out the whole truth about her town? And if she does, will she be able to do anything about it? Join Jessica on her nonstop, action packed quest that draws you into the very fibers of her life as though you are living it yourself. A real page turner that will leave you breathless with anticipation.
About the Author
Much like the main character in my story one of my favorite pass-times when I was young was to sit in my favorite tree and concoct tales. Now that I am older I just sit under the tree to spin my yarns. Similar to the way comedians take simple, everyday life events and make them funny, I take those things and turn them into mysteries and conspiracies. When life becomes so overwhelming with everyday responsibilities and obligations I relish the opportunity to retreat to my fantasyland and create entire new worlds. I stand in awe of the endlessly intricate world God has created that allows us to ponder so many different scenarios. However, sometimes no matter how hard we try to escape the realities of life, we inevitably have to deal with them. When this happens I find enlightenment through my poetry. Through poetry I have found a way to untangle my thoughts and emotions. For many years I kept my writings secret to shield myself from unwanted criticism and rejection. But after sharing some of them with my family and close friends I found that these words could also comfort, inspire, and entertain them. After a great deal of coaxing, especially from my wonderful husband I decided to share my writing with the rest of the world. I now have two poems, "Love" published in The Silence Remembers and "No Middle Ground" published in America at the Millennium the Best Poems and Poets of the 20th Century with the International Library of Poetry, which can be viewed at
In conclusion I would like to thank all of my family and friends that have been so supportive in my struggle to get published, especially the Good Lord above, Jerry, Jess, Pat, Jen, Chris, Leonarda, Bob, Kristen Rae, Billy, everyone at Jallo, and all of you that purchase my book.
