Insidiously, at least not disturbing vulnerable types, preponderous in numbers, the damaging effects of a Nature, reactive as it is and usually cyclical between long periods of what might be termed respites characterized by reasonable seasonal weather, have taken on an unprecedented alarming trend there is now the obvious change in pattern; we now are being treated to repeated bouts of harmful, often very dangerous weather at an increasing rate of frequency just as we are also, gas pedal to the floor, inflicting harm along with other industrial nations on a power we should do well to respect. Wrathful it is not but pummel the human species it will. In my anxiety to be heard, like all human beings wanting to express myself by sharing what I have learned I offer facts, recorded facts, pushed aside by the clever whose motives are clear to me, albeit nothing that requires the depth of Einstein. I tried reaching out to the powers that be, despite the issue of environmental problems to include ecological damage, never quite thought of as warranting crisis prioritizing, there prevailing but contemplations of something distant and remote, rather than now, expectations of rising sea levels 50 years in the future bothering but a few. Although I read John W. Kingdon s book, "Agendas, Alternatives and Public Policies" in which he decries in respectful terms, i.e., Congressman do not consider a crisis unless 50 thousand die and furthermore have to be hit on the side of the head before they react, I did give it a try replies contained herein. However I do respect many in Washington, DC and if anyone needs to learn it is the public in general, after which democracy becomes more efficient at election time. Preface "Everybody talks about the weather but nobody does anything about it", Mark Twain. Yes we can! "You may delay but time will not", Ben Franklin. One need not be a devout patriot always on the lookout for travesties against our nation not to recognize the environmental, political and organized interference melee, the White House capitulating to Big Business, as it just did (explained later) which has taken up a lot of newspaper space this past decade, ample excerpts from this source distributed in the ensuing material, thus it cannot be said my writing is contentious. Week by week, article after article, and one TV show after another convinced me there cannot be a consensus in view of a public subjected to a variety of sincere renditions mixed with false premises. Therefore, the impression this "fricassee" made on me warranted I give it the old "college try" and dissect what threatens to take us for a long walk on a short pier in terms of a reactive Nature it s mysteries exaggerated by "Puzzle Peddlers". I have endeavored, successfully I believe, to break them down in easy to understand components. Supplementing this topic, adequately illustrated, I also would like the young (under the age of 65 which is young for me) to understand "Pop" and "Grandpa" and perhaps feel a thoughtfulness, a needed perspective as to what molded our character, political inspirations and "bummers", surviving in grim times, patriotism and also the humorous side of various episodes. I especially want to highlight the wonderment and grandeur of naval aviation, the nobility of such selected people and their faces still clearly remembered. I shan t forget either, "truck loads of soldiers bodies stacked like cordwood", to be air freighted back home. And Morocco, the strange land that it was.

Establishes the reactive nature of our confined atmosphere to pollution, its increasing periods of death-dealing floods and associating extremes in torrential downpours with a God ordained programmed physics-based cleansing of its air. Describes the pressure balance between poles and equator, consequently the role hurricanes play in speeding up restoration of that balance. Includes our experiencing twice as many tornadoes this past decade compared to 30 years ago, deadly examples graphically illustrated in weather map form, distinguished the usual twister from high speed monsters, the latter s cause clearly described. In yearly frequency, 1424 tornadoes in 1998, a record smasher that too many of our citizens seem oblivious of. In short, such a heavy dose of academia needed variety. Includes peculiarities of Morocco and experiences, some sinister.
About the Author
Forecaster in naval aviation eight years, tutored for one year by MIT meteorologist for a ten year stay in the U.S. Navy. Weather researcher motivated by falsehoods rearing up in the media in 1993, disagreeing overplayed merits of auto emission testing, amateurish reasons given by non-meteorologist types, but skilled with the pen, letters from state and Washington dignitaries included in my literary effort to substantiate my valid experience, no fancy degrees but one very determined tenacious truth-seeker for the sensible reader to evaluate. Eight years travelling in New York state teaching electronic analysis of combustion engines, deploring from that experience the voracious test site inspectors all this describes in technical details from which the reader can decide who is doing what to whom in this controversy-ridden topic of pollution. Exclusively relies on recorded established facts and figures, not theorems, nor dilly-dallying along with what has become show-boating mystery-oriented endless fact chasing paid by taxes.
