About the Book

This is a new printing of the best-selling book on negotiating with the Japanese. The text proposes a four-stage approach to building trust and negotiating successfully with the Japanese by moving from outsider status through the to "Know Me", "Trust Me", "Believe Me" and "Marry Me" stages. It utilizes 23 actual case histories to show how this stage approach provides a roadmap to building trust and works in practice to achieve results. The cases provide insight into how Japanese negotiate and develops skills in successfully building relationships and working your way into the inner circle of trusted partners. Each case is followed by an analysis of the Japanese core values that influence that stage and specific instruction in how to use them to advantage. Used by many Fortune 500 firms to prepare their executives for stints in Japan. Exciting! Upbeat! Useful!
