But you can weatherize the storms regardless of confusion, unpleasant situations, physical pain, and strife. As a warning do not panic and be terrified by your adversary. Don’t you dare allow the devil to give you a pity party. But as you go through circumstances cast all of your burdens on Jesus for He cares for you today. Don’t let the devil steal your joy, but rejoice in the Lord always. Think on praise, things that are honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, and pray about everything. Learn to be content with God in circumstances that are happening in your life regardless of what tomorrow may bring. And in all thy ways acknowledge the Lord and he shall direct thy paths for His word is tried and true. To weather the storms of life, remember you can do all things through Christ who empowers you. What to Do When You Are In the Heat of the Battle Passages for Reflection: I Chronicles 5:18-22; II Corinthians 10:4; Romans 10:8; Psalm 34:6; 125:1 Life sometimes seems to be a series of battles related to conditions on the job sight, homefront, finances, and with sickness. Yet the worst thing to happen in the heat of the battle is that we lose our calmness, faith, and coolness. However in the heat of the battle you can keep your faith and obtain the victory. But you have to know your weapons and how to use them skillfully. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds for tearing the enemy apart. Therefore boldly speak the word that is nigh thee even in thy mouth and in thy heart. Use your weapons of prayer and praise, for when praises go up, blessings come down. Fast to humble yourself and release the power of God in your life so that you may richly abound. Then no weapon formed against thee shall prosper and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. Cry unto God in the heat of the battle for He will hear and save you from all your troubles in order for you to win. Call unto Jesus and watch Him make a way, fortify, and open a door just for you. For God promised in His word that He is able to deliver and rescue. So put your trust in the Lord, for they that trust in the Lord shall be as Mt. Zion, which cannot be moved, but abideth forever. For when the battle is of the Lord, the victory is assured, no matter what we may encounter. God has blessings of healing, deliverance, peace, joy and prosperity which is our inheritance in this land. For all of God’s promises are yes and amen!

About the Book
God used poetry in biblical days to communicate his everlasting words to mortal men. He saw to it that complete books of poetry like Psalms, Job and the like were included in the Bible to get his message across to us. But He did not stop there. God-inspired poetry is found in prophetic books as well as in historical books of the Bible. In the New Testament, we find Jesus making poetic utterances. The Gospels, the Pauline Epistles, and the epistle of James are all filled with rich poetic utterances. We conclude that Spirituality and poetry are kin. Why else would the holy scriptures tell us that we can continually be filled with the Spirit by speaking to ourselves in Psalms (poetry), hymns, and spiritual songs (Ephesians 5:19)? As I would be teaching the Word of God during the Sunday Worship Service, the spirit of God would inspire Lauretha Ward to write the sermons in poetry. She would sit and absorb the words from the sermon and compose the poetry in its entirety during the service. A little before the conclusion of the service, Lauretha would stand before the audience and read the sermon in poetry. Oh how we would be blessed to hear the Manna of the Lord in Poetry! These poetic sermons are about everyday living. God’s Word is for our everyday life. These sermons will help you with your life’s struggles, increase your faith in God, and cause you to walk in victory everyday the way Jesus intended. In this book the sermons are arranged in four major themes which are "In The Storm," "Walk By Faith," "Attack Your Enemy," and "Victory in Life." Use the scripture text of the sermons for your meditation. Open your heart and let God speak to you out of his rich Word. Willie J. About the Author
As a gifted and anointed teacher she has been serving faithfully in Sunday School, small Bible Study groups, and ministry to women for over 25 years. Lauretha Brown Ward is a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Ypsilanti, where Elder Willie J. Powell is Pastor. Lauretha says, "Prayer and Fasting is a vital part of my life and has wrought personal breakthroughs in healing, deliverance, miracles, and increase. More importantly as an intercessor of S.W.A.T. Professionally, Mrs. Ward is a Speech-Language Pathologist and has a heart for seeing restoration, salvation, and healing take place in the lives of her clients.
