About the Book
Sylvia Stearns has been writing poetry and songs for many years. Some of her songs have been published and are available in music stores across the U.S. Her poetry book, "Life in Rhyme", was published by Brandywine Books a few years ago. Her poems are fresh, original, and express vivid emotions. Many of her poems appear in anthologies. She was awarded the "Golden Poet Award", from the World of Poetry, several times. She also was awarded "The Medallion for Poetry", presented to her by Milton Berle. The Author feels "Tapestry of Life" offers an insightful look into many of "Lifes" experiences. She has put her feelings and emotions into this work, and is confident the reader will not only enjoy, but perhaps be inspired by this endeavor of love.
About the Author
Sylvia was born and raised on a farm in Northwest Iowa, which afforded her to experience many wonderful things that rural life offers. Sylvia moved to Omaha, Nebraska, in her early 20’s, where she now resides. She started writing poetry and songs early on in her life. She has achieved success in both fields. A play that she originated was published by Acuff Rose of Nashville, Tennessee, along with many of her songs. She has written a chapbook of Hobo poems that was published by the Hobo Press. She has many interests, and has followed her dreams. She perceives life’s experiences in a poetic way, and expresses them in her poetry and songs. Everyday is a new beginning, and she looks forward to her tomorrows. -Sylvia Stearns-
