About the Book

I hope, if you find time to read my fishing memoirs, that you find they are very similar to experiences that you had--fishing, golfing, boating, camping, or what have you. Nothing earth shattering, no records set, mostly a lot of good clean entertainment with friends and those you love or loved. If you start reaching back, I hope you will find your memories, particularly those involving your immediate family, as pleasant as were mine.

Also, I am sure you will notice that the author is not the world’s authority on grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, etc.--but, Hell!, if you wanted that you would have gone to the next aisle for Grammatically Correct! As it is, I might entice you to say, "Hell, I can do that!" and you will join the world of authors, too.

About the Author

Your author is a seventy-eight year old former Marine, Mayor, Judge, Hortaculturalist, and retired attorney (45 years). I was fortunate that my practice permitted me to get away fishing almost at the drop of a hat. Most of this I attribute to a tolerant wife, good secretaries, and good fishing buddies. While I have had my hips and a knee replaced, a pacemaker, and a colostomy for thirty years, I still manage to average a couple of days a week plugging a shoreline, trolling offshore, or bottom fishing for snapper depending on the time of the year. I have to add that the vast majority of my fishing was from a 17-foot Boston Whaler. I went through three of them. I was also fortunate to have lived in South Florida since 1947 where you have the world’s greatest fishing at your doorstep.
