He is startled when he feels the touch of a dainty hand on his shoulder. Martha sits down on the counter stool beside him and says, "Sorry if I'm late - took a while to break away from some chatty girls." He can't believe he hears himself say, "No, you're not late, I'm early - couldn't wait to meet with you." He finds conversing with her is very easy.... like falling off a log, he thinks. There is never a lull in their conversation. They talk about their classes, teachers they most admire, their study habits; and she relates all the gossip around the school campus. He has lost all of his shyness and never blinks when looking into her dark brown eyes. He loves to watch the movement of her lips when she speaks. He gets a whiff of her perfume and leans closer and closer to her as they chat. He hears her say, "All the girls are talking about how stuck-up the new guy in school is - I don't find you that way at all." Surprised by this, his only defense is to try to explain that he is bashful. She punches him on the shoulder and says, "Oh you! Is that your line with all the girls?" He responds, "I don't know any of the girls in school." She laughs when she says, "I saw you first!" She glances at her watch and says, "Listen, I have to run......can't meet you everyday. Some days I have practice after school." She stands to leave and he stands to say goodbye. She lifts herself on her toes and lightly kisses him on the cheek and says, "You are a sweetheart." Before he can think of something to say in response, Martha turns and leaves the drug store.

Their First Time: Teenage Romance
The novel begins with the run-away from home by a very shy 16-year-old boy after his completion of the 11th grade of high school. He is a very bright and athletic young man. Even though he is shy, he makes many good friends, especially his first love. His last year of high school is filled with excitement and successes in sports, which lead up to his first date.
His life is torn apart when, due to the trickery of a mean aunt, his life is changed forever. He is on his own again and desperately tries to return to the girl he dearly loves.
Situations and circumstances cause him to enlist in the United States Air Force. His basic training in the Air Force is described from beginning to end. After basic training, he is assigned to the intelligence service posing as a civilian at a large Ivy League university. Here, he has a devastating experience, which causes the loss of his virginity.
After loss of his virginity, he develops a "no holds barred" attitude caused by many disappointments.
The novel describes his stint in Korea and ends with his return home the States after turning the age of 20.
While there is no vulgarity (only hinted) do not read this book if you are squeamish when reading about romantic sex acts. The title of the novel gives you a hint.

About the Author
I sincerely appreciate the encouragements of my son who visited daily to see what I had written the night before. He is the cause of my sitting down to write my first novel. Three schoolteachers (names not permitted), get my thanks. One (a retired school teacher) said I should go back to school to learn correct punctuation; one who read every chapter as it was completed and declared that I should try to publish; and another who gave me the email for 1st Books Library.
