About the Book

The story of Smoke and Mira featured a single ghost. The book of The Desolation Sound hosts an entire legion of creatures that exist only to kill. Emigrating over decades from throughout the entire planet, these monsters now hide within the lust forestry of British Columbia. Fighting against their own extinction, they now emerge to terrorize the residents of the quiet town of Whispere. But their existence is is now revealed to the elite military force led by the “Hippo,” and young Joseph Sound. They are tasked with the protection of these citizens, and truly, the world. Pulled from generational legends from nearly every culture across the globe, the fate of an ancient species finds itself in the hands of a single soldier, and the life of an odd little girl.

About the Author

megomike is the author of the creepy pasta series, and novel, AND MIRA. THE DESOLATION SOUND is his second published work. He has numerous other projects in the works including a sequel to AND MIRA, a children’s book, and numerous stories to be adapted for a future comic book anthology series. He hails from the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, where he currently resides, along with splitting time in the beautiful Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. He has two children that are now grown up and smarter than he is. Just ask them. After many years as an administrator working with children in the education field, he now works in the exciting field of product valuation for a local auction house. megomike has been a zealous collector of vintage pop culture memorabilia for decades, which continues to be a passion.
