About the Book
Each and all of us are getting older every day, but some of us are in that final season of life. The poems in this collection are a very personal reflection about what it feels like to be in the winter of life, and provides hope both for those not yet in this season and for those nearing life’s end. It offers companionship and support and encouragement for every age.
About the Author
The author, Linda Faltin, has been on her life journey for eighty-four years. Along the way, she has been mother of four and grandmother of five; nurse, hospice director, ordained Lutheran pastor, and writer. She has lived through many losses: the death of her thirty-seven-year-old husband, of her twenty-eight-year-old son, and two sisters, as well as both parents and many friends. She is also a forty-two year survivor of breast cancer. All of these have shaped her life, providing countless memories for reflection at this stage of her life. She is the author of Captain Booby Trap: One Man’s Memories; New Day Dawning: Everyday Encounters with the Holy; and Life Lines: A Daily Journey.
