About the Book

Retire and Realign is a bold manifesto that transforms retirement into a season of profound purpose. Dr. Francis K. Sang, a trailblazer in Kenya’s CID, international diplomacy, and academia, dismantles the myth that life’s impact fades post-career, offering a dynamic roadmap for enduring significance. Weaving his journey with stories of Kenya’s unsung heroes—including the late Peter Ochieng’ Okola, Captain Edward Belsoi, and fourteen senior retired officers—the author reveals how purpose thrives beyond formal service. These guardians prove retirement ignites legacy, turning institutional wisdom into a living lineage. More than a career capstone, retirement emerges as a launchpad. Retire and Realign challenges readers to rediscover their voice, share transformative insights, and craft a legacy rooted in intentional service. Whether approaching retirement or navigating its terrain, this book affirms: Your greatest contributions need not end—they can ripple outwards with renewed clarity. It is a call to steward your experience, empower others, and Give Back to the Giver through purposeful living.
