About the Author

Bishop Bobby Holmes has long held a deep passion for helping couples cultivate intimacy and strengthen their relationships. During his time pastoring Deliverance Church of Christ, he witnessed firsthand the challenges many couples and individuals faced, not only in their marriages, but also in their friendships with coworkers, family members, and fellow church members. Motivated by a desire to bring healing and connection, Bishop Holmes and his beloved wife, Dorothy, launched a series of ministries focused on family enrichment. Together, they established programs for marriage enrichment, premarital counseling, singles ministry, and family training, each designed to foster deeper understanding, love, and respect among participants. Bishop Holmes’s commitment to nurturing relationships is rooted in the values instilled by his parents. Raised alongside nine siblings, he was taught to be loving, kind, and respectful principles that have guided his own marriage and shaped the lives of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In 1969, he married Dorothy Best-Holmes, and together they celebrate fifty-six joyful years of marriage. They are proud parents of two children: Derrick, who is married to Egypt, and Stephanie, who is married to Lenwood. Their family has grown to include seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, each a testament to the enduring love and faith that he and his wife have modeled. Through every chapter of his life, he gives all glory to God for His righteousness, love, and divine instruction. His journey continues to inspire those around him, and his legacy, compassion and leadership remain a guiding light for many.
