About the Book
If I forget you, O Jerusalem
Let my right hand forget how to play the harp,
May my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth,
If I fail to remember you,
If I don’t make Jerusalem
My greatest joy.
Psalm 37:6 NKJV, Thomas Nelson, 1978
This is my testimony: from death to life!
‘Cause grace re-wrote my story, I’ll testify;
By Jesus Christ the Righteous I’m justified;
This is my testimony:
This is my testimony!
(My Testimony, Elevation Worship, 2019)
Admittedly, this is an unusual story. As believers in the Lord Jesus, as readers of and believers in the Holy Scriptures, we know all we have is our testimony, and the breath in our lungs.
About the Author
Anne Chick has focused intercessory prayer for the nation of Israel and for Jews everywhere, since an experience while prayer-walking in 1992 impressed upon her that God wanted her to do this. Two decades later, she became convinced that the Lord wanted her to share in book form the events of her most unusual life. This book is the result. Anne’s love for and commitment to Israel was fed by her life as a member of River of Life Church in her home town of Jacksonville, North Carolina. Prayer and spiritual commitment to Israel is a vital part of the mission of this dynamic, Bible-based faith community, 1200 members strong. Anne’s prayer commitment became stronger during the ‘90’s and the first decade of this century as a member of the intercessory and teaching team, the Daughters of Zion, based in Beulaville, North Carolina. Anne was a computer specialist and civil service IT manager for the United States Marine Corps for thirty years. She retired in 2001 from Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, and immediately began an administrative career with the Onslow County Public Schools, retiring in 2014. During retirement, she has been busy as a wife to Walter S. (“Steve”) Chick, SSgt USMC Ret., mother to Meghan Doyle, Matthew Sweeney, Heather Barton, and Andy Chick, and as grandmother to twelve grandchildren. She is now expecting her tenth great-grandchild, a girl named Penelope, due to be born in late April 2025. From 1992 to this date, she has been an intercessor and prayer leader, focused on Israel, based at River of Life. She has published one other book, The Mountain of the Lord, also with AuthorHouse, and has one other completed manuscript geared for teens and young adults, tentatively titled Two Guys from Another Town, which she hopes to publish soon.
