Daddy started seeing some green carrot tops all over the stalls of Camille and Buford! He came back to the house and said, “Since we only ever feed the cows hay and fodder I’m going to stay up late and watch the garden. Maybe I can figure out how green carrot tops get into the barn. Later that night, he saw Camille and then Perky walk into the garden. They touched noses and then Perky started rooting up a few carrots while Camille was filling the garden bucket with milk. Daddy wondered “How did they get out? I can’t believe what I’m seeing! This is amazing!” I didn’t say anything. If I told them that I already knew about Perky, Camille and Buford I would be in big trouble!
