About the Book

Have you ever felt passionate about something that others thought you weren’t good at? This book tells of a little girl named Mimi, who is mocked and bullied for doing things differently, and how her passion helps her to overcome these obstacles. This book introduces a little bit about Plena, a Puerto Rican cultural dance. This book takes place in a 3rd grade class in a school in Puerto Rico. Hard work and determination go a long way, and when you add passion, you become unstoppable.

About the Author

Miosotis Torres is of Puerto Rican heritage and the author of Mimi’s Passionate Dance. This is her first published children’s book. She is currently a full-time employee, owner of Miosotis Torres, unlock your potential, and a full-time mother to three beautiful children. Miosotis is married to Peter Torres, former Staff Sgt. In the United States Army. The life they chose has allowed her to overcome many obstacles and reach numerous accomplishments. Miosotis is a graduate student from Columbia Southern University. Another great achievement was to have been voted most successful woman under 40 in Osceola County, Florida. Over the last 5 years Miosotis has dedicated her life to achieving an amazing transformation and helping others to do the same through self-love, and an overall healthy life. She has an amazing relationship with her grandmother Maria Figueroa, the inspiration behind many projects that Miosotis has completed successfully. She was raised by her amazing single mother, Eva Nieves, who always encouraged her relationship with her grandmother. In addition, Miosotis lives a life full of gratitude and in love with God, who has always pushed her to live a purpose-driven life.
