About the Book
Karyn is a fifty-year old woman who lived in denial whenever she sought love for fear of being broken by the harsh realities of her relationships. Instead of facing the truth, she portrays herself as a strong-willed and carefree child, teen, and woman, who repeatedly justify her actions in order to protect her fragile soul and cope with her circumstances. Karyn embraces counselling throughout marriage, parenthood, and relationships, albeit without support of her immediate community. Despite the stigma associated with seeking counselling, Karyn blossoms when she finds a safe place to vent and call stuff out for what it truly is, without judgment or hidden agendas. Finally, she is free to find the love she deserves, take the blinders off, be true to herself, and accept all of her weaknesses and shortcomings, so that she finally lives in the truth surrounding her.
