Perfectly Imperfect You may not agree with these words I say And that doesn't affect me at all I didn't ask you for your opinion Not that I recall. I choose to be me I sit peacefully in the shade Sometimes I'm indecisive If I want my hair down, or plated in braids. I choose to love all of me And that leaves some in awe I embrace every scar Every imperfect flaw. I love my big wide nose My full set of lips My cocoa brown skin My full-wide hips. I'm perfectly imperfect Created how I'm supposed to be Perfect by no means And that's what's so beautiful about me.

About the Author
Tammrow Carneal is a proud mother of two. She was born in Orlando, Florida, but later moved to Kentucky at a young age, in which she now resides. She started writing poetry at the tender age of 13, as a means to express herself, and it was then that she discovered her talent and genuine love for poetry. She works in the healthcare field and has had the pleasure in doing so, for over 15 years. Some of her hobbies include; spending time with her children, loved ones, and traveling. One of her favorite motto’s in life is, “Keep God First and there is absolutely no way you will fail”.
