Strength in the Darkness is a poetry book about my life—what I have been through. I had to go through ups and downs, to experience life in such a way that I could bring this book to life today. I hope this book is related to your stories as well. Please enjoy every bit of it, every word was written with passion.

About the Author

My name is Islande Schettini, I was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I grew up with my grandparents in the countryside (Des Cayes in Haiti). Poetry was always my passion—at a young age I started to write, but I never got the chance to publish my work.

I thank God for inspiring me to write this book.
