About the Book
Mr. Zagaja was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Polish Branch No. 412, and the Polish Army Veterans Association (S.W.A.P. No. 172). Written while he served as a resistance fighter during World War II on Polish soil, these excerpts from his wartime diary preserve an authentic, firsthand historical account and capture the thoughts and emotions shaped by the brutality of the conflict.
About the Author
Christina honors the courage and sacrifice of Poland’s warriors by preserving and sharing her father’s World War II writings. This collection presents his poems and reflections, written while he was called upon to defend his country, allowing his voice to endure as a testament to resilience, history, and truth. Born in Kitchener, Ontario, Christina is the youngest of three children and now resides in Vancouver, Canada.
