This book is about how to analyze and design DC to DC converters by using both hand analysis and a wealth of Simulation so that the reader sees all the waveforms and understands what they mean. Both DC and AC small signal hand and simulation are compared using average and switching models. There are many tricks in quickly designing these DC to DC converters that are illustrated.

About the Author

Mr. Joe Marrero has over 40 years in Design of Switch Mode Power Supplies. Some his designs include; Buck, Boost, Flyback, Cuk, Weinberg, Sepic, venable and many other isolated and non-isolated DC to DC converters. Mr. Marrero assisted in the design of the Space Station power system from the Solar Arrays to the Bi-lateral DC-to-DC converter. He solely designed a 10A constant current source charging the Space Stations Batteries from 0 Volts to 130 Volts. Mr. Marrero design single phase and three phase power factor correction converters including a Vienna converter. Mr. Marrero holds several patents in power electronics and DC brushless motors and has taught Switch Mode Power Supplies at San Francisco State University and in many companies within the U.S. You can enjoy some of his lectures on YOUTUBE by typing leiaz.
