About the Author
Hailing from Long Island, Ny Iceis first fell in love with poetry in her 5th grade language arts class, The love of speech recitals and performance settled early. The impressionable young author developed her gift of writing creatively but it was not until she discovered he interest in hip hop She began to write songs. Inspiration from Female poets like Phylis Wheatley, Women empowering views from Dr. Maya Angelou , Nikki Giovanni or Elizabeth Alexander. Iceis pulls from life experiences And Hip hop. Attacking issues with a more raw and unconventional approach. Poetically, She infuses the Core of hip hop’s raw center and seamlessly ignites an unapologetic cadence to the reader. Topics ranging from social media, Beauty, Racism, education versus popularity, politics, and feminism are just fractions of what young black women face today. Sweet ambition addresses Iceis in the present consoling and counseling a younger self.
