Tails of a Squirrel And a Fish

As Cheryl watch them race through patches of marsh grass, she noticed a larger fish looking up at her through the crystal-clear water. He had a long mustache with a wide mouth…it turned up on the corners, making him look as though he was smiling. He had a friendly face and large blue kindly eyes. The cloud above passed, and Cheryl again caught her own reflection, and instantly remembered that her fur was matted with sticky sap. With the hair on her head and face sticking up in a most unkept way, she remembered why she had come to the water’s edge in the first place.
