About the Book

I was twenty-one years old when I wrote this book, and I decided to write this book because I felt like some people might feel like they were fighting life’s battles alone. I wanted people to know that they’re not alone and that people are there for them. I wanted to fill people in on what they couldn’t see around them, and I also wanted to let people know that their voice is important and that they define their own voice but no one else can speak for them in all honesty. In this book, I talked about how humans are only humans, so they shouldn't be ashamed to cry—man or woman. Crying doesn't make you weak; it means your human. It’s actually worrisome if you don’t cry.

About the Author

Hello, my name is Bernice. I am 21 years old and I was born on July 18,1996. My parents came from a country called Eritrea which is a country located in East Africa, and a country where I just so happened to write part of this book in. I may have been born here in the U.S.A but I am extremely proud to be able to say that I am an Eritrean-American, I am also very grateful to have all the opportunitities that are given to me in U,S.A and I can say I would not be the same person who I am today if I lived in another country simply because of all the priveleges that I have been given in the U.S.A. I cannot express what an absolute honor it is to have my Eritrean culture at heart, The Eritrean culure and the way they treat each other has a big role to play in who I am today. All of my freinds who were and still are there for me as well as my siblings, I would like to thank all of those people because I also would not be all that I am today.
