About the Book

This manuscript was written during a time right after the death of my husband. I found it to be comforting to journal each day instead of talking constantly with another person. Years ago, I found writing to be an avenue to the many issues that evolved in my life. While writing, I often found that making decisions became clearer and the answers flowed smoothly. This particular transition in my life after the death of my husband compelled me to sit quietly and write about my feelings and my thoughts as the days passed by. This writing only became a manuscript because so many people asked me to put my writing in a book form. Because I embraced the death of my husband, I knew there would be a certain amount of grief and sadness. I was not prepared for his death or for becoming a widow so soon. I had planned to retire, and Charles had already retired. We were planning to travel across the United States and enjoy our lives. Well, to my shock, I would never get the opportunity to visit many of the states with my husband. The biggest area of this transition was trying very hard to accept the position of widowhood, which I am still in the process of coping with. My journaling did not cease with this short manuscript. As you can see, I wrote about my emotions and the happening of each day. I don’t believe I would be the person I am today if it had not been for my writings.
