It’s a typical, warm summer morning, and Niles is still asleep. He is woken up by his neighbor Max, the bulldog whose bones have disappeared. Instead of falling back asleep, Niles springs into action to help solve the case of Max’s missing bones. Read the adventure as Niles meets many other animals during his investigation into who took Max’s bones. Niles does not give up until he solves this mystery.

Hans Rein is a typical family man that enjoys entertaining children. What better way than to use his pet cat as the main character? It all started one warm Fall day with a little girl, a doll carriage, doll clothes and a small kitten. He decided to tell a bedtime story to his children about the family pet, Niles. The children smiled and wanted their dad to tell another story. So began several stories that his wife thought would amuse children other than their own. Hans himself enjoyed the story so much that he listened to his wife published it.
