About the Author
Dana Roberson is a dynamic and influential woman who has always had a love for studying human behavior. Her educational background includes earning a bachelor of science degree in psychology from the Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, in 1999. She obtained her master’s degree in social work from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, in 2004. Dana spent several years as a field-based therapist, helping to reunite foster-care children with their families. She has an extensive background in the field of social work, and she developed an anger management group for an Adolescent Day Treatment Program while in graduate school. The abstract for this research was published in 2004. Dana has also worked in the hospital setting as a clinical case manager and hospital social worker, and she worked as a cancer support facilitator for the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, as well as with various patients and their families in intensive care, infectious disease, and transplant, to name a few. In 2007, Dana transitioned to sales, joining the pharmaceutical sales industry. She has since spent the last ten years as a proven success in the field of sales marketing of innovative, first-in-class products. Dana continues to feed her desire to help others by speaking at local venues on her platform to promote positive mental health. She is extremely passionate about spreading the word about mental health issues in women and the importance of decreasing the stigmas while promoting awareness and providing resources. Dana currently resides in Jacksonville, Florida, with her teenage son, Taz, and their cat, Maddie Merlot. Dana enjoys photography and spending time with her family and friends.
