About the Book

This book was inspired in part by the hardworking unknown people of the sugarcane fields of western Palm Beach County in 1928.

About the Author

Richard is a fourth generation Floridian whose ancestors have live In Dowling Park, Live Oak, Apopka, Auburndale and Miami, Florida. Richard is the ninth child of 11 children, he served in the U.S. Army for seven years and he left the army in 1983 and completed an Associate of Science Degree in 1985. He became a first time father to Nicole in 1986. Employed by a major Insurance company in Winter Haven, Florida in Computer Operation. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration June 1989. Richard has become a loving grandfather and enjoys spending time with his grandchildren.
