About the Book

This book is a collection of poems that I have written. The poems deal with social issues and inner feelings of people. These are my thoughts on today’s issues.

About the Author

I was born in Kingston Jamaica in a quieter time; before the guns and all the crimes. I migrated to the USA to further my education. I attended York College in Queens New York and acquired a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work then received my Masters in Social Welfare at Stony Brook University in Long Island. I am currently working in the mental health field and love the clients i work with as they always inspire me to look at the bigger picture. My love for poetry came from my mother reading poetry to me frequently when I was a child. I still recall one of my favorites she read to me entitled: I Wonder. Over the years I would write but would be shy to share it with anyone. I have come to realize that writing is the love of my life and it is what keeps me sane in this world of at times insanity.
