About the Author

Melanie Olds always wanted to write a book. She was a columnist in high school for The Frederick Gazette. During her time in Philadelphia after college, she attempted to write a young adult novel. However, it was an assignment for an early childhood education course that led to As I Look Up At The Sky. Melanie resides in the Washington, D.C. metro area with her family.
