About the Book

Within the pages of this book, you will experience the depth of my personal feelings from different times in my life. Things may appear rough and raw, but these things are the feelings of someone who isn’t afraid to express herself through her words. You could be that person that is afraid to speak on the issue, but I spoke on the issue for you. You might find yourself saying, “That is me. I am the one you speak of.” Within the reflection of the mirror, there was only a skeleton, and within that skeleton was a hole.

Let these words flow,
like my fear flows,
freely and without hesitation.

show you the raw and rough
as I stand before you feed up and confused.

pierce your soul and set you free.

cast a cloud over the hurt and pain that is within.

About the Author

It all started with me writing to express my emotions—until I realized that my words actually spoke the silent inner voice of someone else. I started getting excited about writing, and when new ideas would pop up in my mind, I realized this was meant for me: that this was my gift.

I have been writing poetry since I was in middle school, and that’s when I realized I wanted to write a book and be published. I have three short stories that I wrote in high school, which I have hidden away.

I am a twenty-seven-year-old from a small town in North Carolina that has a vision to one day have a book in the bookstore.
