About the Book
Gastroparesis is a very difficult condition for a parent to suffer from, we know from experience. This book breaks down the condition and living with Gastroparesis in to the simplest terms in order to convey and allow a child to comprehend and get a grasp on the situation. While saving the child the complicated details and confusing language and medical jargon, this book will not only help them to understand, but it will allow them to feel included in lieu of telling them “everything is alright” when clearly they know it’s not. “My Mother Has Gastorparesis” is told from a child’s perspective and has been fully endorsed by my step daughter who at 11 years old has had to deal with her mother battling GP as long as she can remember.
About the Author
Timothy Thomas is from Massachusetts. He was born and raised just outside of Boston and still currently resides outside the Massachusetts hub. From a young age he had a love of literature instilled in him by his mother. Reading, writing, telling stories was always a passion and finally after years of coming up with excuses, Thomas’s wife finally convinced him to put himself out there and let his voice be heard. Having spent the last number of years working as a sports writer, Thomas turned his attention to writing about Gastroparesis in order to try and help raise awareness for the disorder and lend advice to those dealing with it around the world. Thomas’s wife has suffered from Gastroparesis for a number of years and the two together are battling to that end they have started a non profit for Gastroparesis research with all the proceeds of this book going directly to fund it. Timothy Thomas lives in Massachusetts with his wife and their three children.
