INTRODUCTION
Everything starts with an idea; which when acted upon, it develops and becomes reality. The same is true about this book. This book serves to inform and simply empower both the young and the old, religious and non-religious, scholar and non-scholar, all people of all nations, from various walks of life. I am not here to preach a message to you, but to share with you some simple and yet fundamental principles I have come to learn in life.
Now let me warn you, the content in this book is VERY dynamic. I touch on topics that affect everyday life, from health to finances, spiritual things and non-spiritual things. It only requires reader to keep an open mind and enjoy the ride. Now I’m certainly no life coach according to the standards of this world, but I’m someone who definitely breaks the rules, thinks outside the box and am overly observant. I believe that empowering people is one of my many gifts, whether I have the qualifications or not. This is something which education cannot teach me to do, but something that’s innate, I was born with it, and I’m definitely not afraid to make use of it either!
In this book, I decided to use my creative side and call the chapters “Principles,” so be warned if you are looking for the word “chapter” you won’t find it, it’s a new thing!
Why be principled? Principles are what set you apart as an authentic person, they help define the type of person/individual you are. Principles are simply a set of rules, or code of conduct one adheres to thus forming a foundation for a system of belief or chain of reasoning. I believe having the right set of ethics and principles as an individual, contributes significantly to your success and quality of life. I set a challenge for you; to go and draft a list of your own set of principles you would like to adhere to on a daily basis. Follow your own rules and be consistent in application. Along with being principled, add integrity and character to it.
Like my father always says; “No one can claim monopoly over knowledge”, everybody has got different formulas that work for them in life, and the only difference is that I’m putting mine to pen. Be encouraged and empowered as you read this book, and above all implement whatever would have caught your attention (preferably everything). Don’t rush as you go through the principles, take your time and write down some notes like a good student who wants to learn and better themselves. Come on, Let’s Do Life Together, and let’s get empowered to live and enjoy life.
Principle #3: Live Life in Abundance
Life should be vibrant and dynamic, accept change, and make some changes too.
-David Conellias
John 10:10
Amplified Bible (AMP)
10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
Ask yourself; am I enjoying life? Do I have life in abundance? Many of us are not enjoying life, and are definitely not living life in abundance. We more of worriers and stressors than life livers! We worry about bills, relationships, jobs etc. you name it, whatever worries you, whatever stresses you, whatever makes you lose your peace of mind is a thief! The thief not only refers to the devil, but anything that makes you lose your sleep or causes unrest is an enemy and a thief, because it has stolen what God desired for you to have, and that is life in abundance. Don’t get me wrong, yes we face challenges here and there, but the key point is to stay focused on God and not to lose sight of Him, because the moment we lose sight of Him, that’s when all these things cloud and choke us up.
Make up your mind today that I will not lose my peace, neither will I let anything or anyone still my Joy. I shall not be moved, neither shall worry and anxiety be my portion!
Having life in abundance does not mean not having challenges or problems, but it is having peace and calm in the midst of a raging storm, it is being able to smile when there’s nothing pretty to smile about, it is having peace and joy when there’s chaos all around you (and I like what one wise man once said; “There Is value in chaos”). When you live life in abundance, you are stress free, you are worry free, you are always at peace by choice (you have to make up your own mind not to be bothered by every little or big thing that comes as a distraction). Having life in abundance it’s still being able to peacefully sleep/rest even when your children are acting crazy, husband acting like a fool, you don’t know where your next meal is coming from (but depend on God to provide). Having life in abundance has got nothing to do with having plenty of money, but all to do with having plenty of God in you. When you have God, then you have all the wealth you could ever dream of. God desires that we prosper, even as our souls prosper, for He is our Shepherd and makes us lie down in green pastures, leading us beside the quiet waters and restoring our souls. He refreshes us and pampers us, as long as He is inside, and a permanent part of our lives.
# Do Not Worry
Jesus commanded us not to worry for a reason!! We were commanded not to have anxiety about anything, but in everything to make our requests known unto God in prayer. I’ll give you some scientifically proven facts about worrying and stress, and then you’ll understand why we were commanded not to worry, because it takes away from the life we are supposed to have and enjoy! So stop worrying in abundance and start living life in abundance.
Matthew 6:25-34
Amplified Bible (AMP)
25 Therefore I tell you, stop being [a]perpetually uneasy (anxious and worried) about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink; or about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life greater [in quality] than food, and the body [far above and more excellent] than clothing?
26 Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they?
27 And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure (cubit) to his stature or to the [b]span of his life?
28 And why should you be anxious about clothes? Consider the lilies of the field and [c]learn thoroughly how they grow; they neither toil nor spin.
29 Yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his [d]magnificence (excellence, dignity, and grace) was not arrayed like one of these.
30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and green and tomorrow is tossed into the furnace, will He not much more surely clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 Therefore do not worry and be anxious, saying, what are we going to have to eat? Or, what are we going to have to drink? Or, what are we going to have to wear?
32 For the Gentiles (heathen) wish for and crave and diligently seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows well that you need them all.
33 But seek ([e]aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness ([f]His way of doing and being right), and then all these things [g]taken together will be given you besides.
34 So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble.
Chronic Stress; the Mother of Anxiety and Worry
Stop worrying and over stressing, it makes you age quicker!
-David Conellias
According to research, stress is a normal physical response to events that make you feel threatened or upset your balance in some way. When you perceive danger, whether imagined or real, your body’s natural defences kick into high gear in a rapid, automatic process known as the “fight-or-flight-or-freeze” reaction, or the stress response. This is a way the body protects you. When working properly, it can help you stay focused, energetic, and alert....
