About the Author

Chris Bauer is a mother of two and grandmother of five. Working 28 years in radio broadcasting--writing, voicing and producing thousands of radio commercials--Chris was prompted to take a different direction with her talent after a call from her daughter concerned about her four-year-old's understanding of the difference between making up a story and telling the truth. So, she decided to put her creative writing skills to work. That is when "Out of Sight Must be Right" came to life. Future stories in the works include, "Tommy Loves Pancakes" and "There's a Hero in Every Box." Each episode unveils more about Tommy as he grows and learns life lessons. Chris puts down her pen occasionally to travel between homes in Arizona and South Dakota and considers herself blessed to continue her work in broadcasting from her home studios all while pursuing other creative writing adventures.

I thought the rhymes were great and my girlfriends son had me read it to him three times in a short period of time, so I know he enjoyed it. He also insisted in taking it home with him in his backpack. His mom and I are always trying to teach him to be honest and polite and I think this short story helped him in understanding what we are trying to teach him.
What baffles me more than anything in today?s world is the lack of respect kids have for their parents as well as others. Our society is getting away from the core basics that we were all taught as kids. Please and thank you still go a long way in my book. The concept the author portrays in this story is excellent and a great way to teach kids morals and manners."
