A MORKIE NAMED MINDY

About the Book

When Blossom (a Maltese/Shi-tzu) was 9 years old, I decided I wanted another puppy. I found Lily (a Maltese) and immediately fell in love with her. She weighed 17 ounces at 6 weeks old when I brought her home. When Lily was 3 years old, my husband, Russ, and I decided to breed her with a Yorkie. Lily had the most adorable puppies. They only weighed 4.5 ounces. Her first puppy, J.J., was born April 18, 2010, and then Cooper, Sadie, and Olive were born June 3, 2011. Finally, Ory and Mindy were born June 3, 2012. They were incredibly small. And popular! Mindy was the last & final puppy born. We never intended to breed dogs. We never intended to have multiple litters. However, they were so popular, we were expected to create more. My husband, Russ, insisted on keeping Mindy. I explained to him that we need three dogs as badly as I needed two. Nevertheless, she grabbed our hearts, and she is in control of the household. After watching her, I knew she must be shared with the world. Linda Jenkins Tobel grew up in many different areas and has lived in Northeastern Ohio since 1986. She currently lives in Berea, Ohio, with her husband, Russ Tobel, and, of course, their three little girls: Blossom, Lily, and Mindy.
