About the Book

How could something so fun and innocent as taking a trip to the berry patch become such a traumatic experience? About the Author

For the past fifteen years Karl has been working as an elementary physical education teacher in a small town in rural Pennsylvania. In addition to his teaching, Karl coaches high school football and baseball. He attended Lock Haven University where he graduated with a degree in sports administration while earning his teaching certification. He then earned a master’s degree from Wilkes University in educational strategies. Karl and his wife, Mary, recently welcomed their first child, Cash, into the world. In his free time, Karl enjoys spending time in the woods pursuing a variety of outdoor activities. Their home is located on top of a wooded hill abundant with wildlife and wild berry patches, which helped serve as the inspiration for this book.
