Of all the important people we read about in the Bible, perhaps some of the best known are the twelve men who served Jesus as his disciples. We know much about these men as adults, but what were they like as boys? How did they deal with important moments in their boyhoods? Author N. Catherine Herlin, MA, EdS, provides insight into these men who, at one point, were just kids. About the Author

N. Catherine Herlin earned a master’s degree in the humanities. She is still teaching after 40 years. She is a fellow of the Northern California Writing Project. Along with her husband, Matt, she lives in northern California. Illustrator Larry Douglas Trotter earned a master’s degree in social work. He is a minister and a counselor/residential staff member in a group home for troubled youth. He and his wife live with their cat, Missy.
