About the Author

Born in Tehran, November 25, 1970, Reza Kazemi is a well known poet, writer and artist. His first book was published in the year 2000, writings about Love and War. After many years of experiencing about this genre of literature and publishing in the same context, Reza Kazemi has, in recent years, moved to very short, Haiku like, love poems. Two of his poem collections have been candidates for the Best Books of the Year about war and love. Many of his stories have been granted awards in Book fairs and national festivals. Many of his poems have been translated in English, German, French, Russian, Kurdish, Arabic and Azeri. The present, a collection of poems is being published for the first time in Canada with the collaboration of the well known artist Touka Neyestani. Touka Neyestani is an Iranian cartoonist and illustrator who lives in Canada. He started working with press at 1980 and his cartoons and illustrations have been published in more than 40 newspapers and magazines. He has been awarded as the Best Cartoonist of the Year from Iran 's Press Festival for two times, and also has won several prizes in different international cartoon exhibitions from all over the world. His other professional activities include being a member of jury in Tehran Biennale International Cartoon exhibition for three times, a member of jury in Aydin Dogan International Cartoon Competition. He has also been a member of the Board of Directors of a magazine. Running drawing classes, holding several exhibitions in Tehran and Toronto and 5 years of blogging in drawing cartoons and so on also were part of his work.
