He pressed the push button starter switch and prepared to go through with his awful plans. PAROOM RRRRrrrRRRRRR! The machine was loud and powerful. Pigston was glad he upgraded and purchased the extra purple pixel geminator attachment. The pulverizer spun and hummed. It wouldn’t be long now before his all purple world really was in reach. Pigston plowed across the patio headed straight for the pink peony. The sun was bright, but the ground covered by the morning frost crunched beneath him. As Pigston pulled around the corner, he was petrified! Up close, Penelope looked even grander than before, despite the battle with the night frost. Penelope glistened in the sun. This was not the picture Pigston had imagined. He was not prepared for this new development. His plan was falling apart. Above water, on the boat deck, Queen Violet was frantically tugging on the king’s safety line. The flashes of light were lighting, not sunshine, and the tugging was her, not the gentle breezes rocking the boat. In fact the breezes had whipped up into full gusts of wind, and the sunset colors in the sky had given way to odd shades of dark grey and black. A storm in full swing was headed their way, and she couldn’t get his attention. She looked around and saw the extra diver’s tank and realized she had to go get him. She didn’t hesitate; she didn’t even take off her glass slippers. She suited up, turned on the air, and in she dove. BE TRUSTWORTHY―Do what you say you will do. When you are trustworthy, people can count on you. When you break a trust, you could break a heart, lose a friend, or get fired from a job. Trust is very hard to get back once lost. BE TRUTHFUL―Don’t lie. Don’t be sneaky. Be honest about how you feel. Be truthful so others will trust you. When others know you are a truthful person, others will see you as trustworthy.

Anneitta Sheppard Carpenter Hellquist was an awesome Grandma. I was her personal mixer. She would set me up on the kitchen counter, I would sit cross legged and she placed the bowl in my lap and I mixed. She thought outside of the cake box and her measuring cup over flowed with pearls of wisdom, she had my total attention. If I close my eyes I can still hear her voice "Were you good at school? Did you wash your hands?, Please hang up your coat. OH NO don't bring that frog in here". As a parent of four small children, I tried to teach the same things my parents and my grandparents taught me. This book is a direct result of my mothers cautious calm nature, my fathers creativity, my grandmas patience, constant love for me, and my grandpas love of the woods which led us on countless nature hikes and adventures! I grew up to be an artist and designer. My little girls grew up into beautiful strong young women with careers of their own. I still live near that same woods. My folks are gone, but the lessons I learned will be with me always, some I am still mastering. Some pearls got stuck to my soul. Pearls of wisdom are for ever. They never go out of style. Pearls jingle jangle in my head. I hear them, I know when I have done or said something wrong I hear a klink tink then I hear my grandma's soft voice, "Say you are sorry, do it fast, it will be alright, you can do it!"
