About the Book

Lyla Johnson, also known as Lyla Star is an inspiring speaker, teacher, and leader. She is a woman of strong faith, confidence, and strength but lacks one thing: companionship. Being eager and in search of finding her perfect match, she falls into a world of betrayal, distrust, abuse, and feels there is no way out for her until she meets David, a devoted deacon. As she recovers slowly, she is still positioned in a place that both molds and shapes her; a place of forgiveness, reconciliation, and compassion. Will Lyla survive?

About the Author

A native of Missouri, Chrystal Hollins has always enjoyed writing short stories, poems, and plays while growing up in the less attractive environments of Kansas City. She has never been poor, but struggled as she obtained her passion as a writer. At the age of fourteen, she written an auto-biography entitled “The Awakening”, where she spoke of her phenomenal conversion into Christianity and later concludes with the following book “Behind the Curtains” that will focus on the struggles that she endured in both her social and personal areas of life. Throughout her teen years, she has written several poems: “Remembering the Pain, Rich without a Dime, and Next Time test the Tea” where she focuses on the emotional, financial, and relational concepts that occurred in her life. Currently, attending University of Missouri, she will obtain a degree in “Interdisplicinary Studies” with a major in English: creative writing and two minors: Communication and History. She is delighted in the opportunity of releasing her first novel and is tremendously grateful for all of her supporters and friends. Thank you
