About the Book

If it had not been for the Lord who was on my side, where would I be. Jesus came into my life and restored me. In the Shadow of His Wings is a collection of poems that God spoke in my spirit as I journey through newness of life. These poems were conceived through much prayer, fasting, dedication, and love for the most High God. In the Shadow of His Wings truly ministers to my spirit and I pray that it does the same for you. Growing up I have always had a passion for poetry, but it wasn’t until God touched my soul, that I realized the true purpose for this gift. God blessed me with this gift to perform a service to him; that service is to declare his word, be a witness unto him, to edify and encourage the body of Christ, to draw many hearts to Jesus and to glorify his holy name. Throughout our walk with God we encounter trials, tests, and tribulations, but God lets us know to be of good cheer, for he has overcome the world. In the Shadow of His Wings contain golden nuggets to remind us that nothing shall separate us from the love of Christ and we must walk this walk by faith, knowing that greater is our reward in Heaven. This book consists of many personal and intimate encounters with Jesus that I share with you, from my heart to yours; this is my testimony.

About the Author

Nolla Jones is an aspiring poet and author; In the Shadow of His Wings is her first published book. She is a full time servant of the Lord and mother of an extraordinary daughter. Growing up Nolla has had her fair share of valley experiences, but God kept her in the shadow of his wings through it all. Her life is a story of wombs being healed, faith and redemption. Nolla once lived a life conformed to the world, but she hastened to the call of Jesus and on August 01, 2010 God saw fi t to fi ll her with his Spirit; she now whole heartedly seeks to please God. Nolla was born and raised in Saint Louis, MO where she still resides, along with her daughter. Nolla is currently pursuing an education in Health Management; she enjoys spending time with God, cooking, traveling, photography, reading with her daughter, writing and living for the Lord.
