About the Book

A day trip to New Orleans to visit his family's spiritual advisor, Madame Robicheaux, reveals to Honesty, a 22-year deception by his family to conceal the truth about his birth mother, Francis "The Franchise" Batiste', and a plot to assassinate his entire family. But it's too late! Hector, the LeBlanc's billionaire drug trafficking partner in Mexico City, has put the sexy-psycho-assassin, Charra Del Rio in motion, in a paranoid attempt at damage control, spawned by an on-going criminal investigation that's getting too close.

About the Author

A. Norman Joseph is the new voice of "street fiction" with his 'realism' approach to story telling that transports the reader into a fictional world that breathes the life of the streets like no other before him. He has an uncanny gift for conveying vivid images that are so concise, his stories seem to be more realistic than fiction. Growing up in Houston's turbulent hard-core neighborhood of Acres Home aka "The 44" he fashioned himself after many of the street hustlers he was exposed to during his childhood. His biggest influences were his uncles Charles and George who were two of Houston's major drug traffickers, yet it was his mother Gloria's street teachings that propelled him into the life of a young hustler. He has a talent for creating characters with a variety of life issues while crafting his stories deep inside the belly of the streets. Although he seems blighted by the sufferings of the ghetto, he is equally fluent with the life styles of the well-to-do. "Grip of the Lion's Paw" is the first installment of a trilogy that will keep the reader enthralled and begging for more. A. Norman Joseph is the "real thing" in street fiction, he has been there and done that ... believe that!
