About the Author

Chris Daugherty is a poet from Decatur, Georgia. He is an author whose poetry has been featured in numerous books. Mr. Daugherty is a Veteran of service to the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army, having served honorably for four years before embarking on a career of writing. He writes poetry with the purpose of inspiring people of all walks of life to greatness and has composed many original works of poetry encouraging others to write. Mr. Daugherty has been dubbed an “Urban Romantic” by one critic, and his works feature themes ranging from nature to the divine and beyond. In the words of the author, “My goal is to keep traditional metered verse alive by writing poems atavistic to the style of great American poets such as Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost, and Edgar Allan Poe.
