The body is so wonderful. During my pregnancy I did not vomit, but moments before delivery I was vomiting. Why that happened was so intriguing to me. My baby’s heart rate was still not stable. The machine would pick it up for a few minutes before losing it. For hours, the heart rate had no variability. It then became a complication. I continued to believe that it was because I was constantly turning from side to side. The doctor who decided it would be best to attach a clip to the head of my baby explained that my movements would not be able to affect the heart rate. Therefore, he concluded that there was a problem. The contractions became stronger, and the midwife would top up my epidural, which I believed was only working on a psychological basis at that point.

About the Book
While studying for my degree at university, I did not expect to have any more children until I had finished. In the midst of course assignments and hospital placements, I became pregnant twice and delivered my babies in two consecutive years. I defied the odds and medical evidence by giving birth by normal delivery after having two previous caesarean sections.
About the Author
By giving birth normally and via cesarean, I have experienced both sides of birth. I hope to convince you that all things are possible if you believe. I have a BSc honors degree in mental health nursing, and I am a mother of three children.
