About the Book
A diary is discovered by a college student in the attic of a foreclosed home. It is the diary of a music student, Nicci, during her studies at a convent in Italy. Journeying into the unknown, the student unravels the story of a beautiful, innocent girl turned into a vampire by the love of her life. Never in her 200 years did Nicci expect her secret love affairs to be revealed.
About the Author
I am the daughter of a mulatto whose grandparents passed for white in the early 1900’s. I am a retired registered nurse. In my second lifetime I became an opera singer. I studied at the Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles and Los Angeles City College. To add to my list of accomplishments, I moved to Italy to study and perform. I performed in Rome, Siena, Switzerland, and throughout Tuscany. I presently reside in a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona. This is my first novel but I have been a book reviewer since I was ten. I still remember the days of reading books in grade school and reviewing them for my fellow classmates. I continue to do book reviews for a popular publishing company. It may sound silly but my father was my mentor. Frank B. Santos was a war correspondent during the Korean Conflict. He was one of the first Black editors of the largest Black owned newspaper in Chicago. He introduced me to many different forms of literature and has always been my driving force in writing.
